Frontier Communications Data Breach Investigation

Turke & Strauss LLP, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Frontier Communications Parent, Inc. (“Frontier”) regarding its recent data breach. The Frontier data breach may have involved sensitive personal identifiable information belonging to an undetermined number of individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Frontier discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its ongoing investigation, Frontier determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information on April 14, 2024. On April 15, 2024, Frontier reported the incident in a Form 8-K filing with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.  The exact type of personal information potentially exposed has not been made publicly available by Frontier. However, according to state reporting guidelines, “personal information” can include the following types of information:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Date of birth
  • Government issued identification number
  • Mother’s maiden name
  • Unique biometric data, including the individual’s fingerprint, voice print and retina or iris image
  • Unique electronic identification number, address, or routing code 
  • Telecommunication access device
