Numotion Data Breach Investigation

Turke & Strauss LLP, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating United Seating and Mobility, LLC which does business as Numotion regarding its recent data breach. The Numotion data breach involved sensitive personal identifiable information belonging to over 4,100 employees.

ABOUT UNITED SEATING AND MOBILITY, LLC D/B/A NUMOTION:

Numotion is a medical equipment manufacturer based in Tennessee. Through its collection of brands, Numotion provides those living with disabilities greater independence.3 Additionally, Numotion works with clinicians and health plans to serve people living with disabilities with prescription-based products including individually configured Complex Rehab Technology (CRT), catheters, and other assistive technologies.3 Headquartered in Brentwood, Tennessee, Numotion has more than 150 locations nationwide and employs over 1,000 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On March 2, 2024, Numotion discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, Numotion determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information between February 29, 2024, and March 2, 2024. On April 15, 2024, Numotion began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Date of birth
  • Employment information
