Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, Skender has an additional location in Indianapolis, Indiana, and employs over 300 individuals.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Recently, Skender discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, Skender determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information via a ransomware incident that occurred between February 15, 2024, and March 16, 2024. On April 5, 2024, Skender began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Address
- Date of birth
- Driver’s license and passport number
- Direct deposit information
- Health information
