Ampersand Data Breach Investigation

Turke & Strauss LLP, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating National Cable Communications LLC, which does business as Ampersand, regarding its recent data breach. WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Ampersand discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, Ampersand determined that an unauthorized party may have accessed this sensitive information on or around September 28, 2023. On March 15, 2024, Ampersand began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The exact type of personal information potentially exposed has not been made publicly available by Ampersand. However, according to state reporting guidelines, “personal information” can include the following types of information:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license or state-issued ID card number
  • Financial account number, or credit or debit card number, with or without any required security codes
