Turke & Strauss LLP, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating KV Federal Credit Union regarding its recent data breach. The KV Federal Credit Union data breach involved sensitive personal identifiable information belonging to an undetermined number of individuals.

Headquartered in Augusta, Maine, KV Federal Credit Union has two additional locations in Maine and employs over 10 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

In June 2023, KV Federal Credit Union discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, KV Federal Credit Union determined that an unauthorized party may have accessed this sensitive personal information between May 23, 2023, and June 11, 2023. On February 27, 2024, KV Federal Credit Union began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number
