On January 30, 2024, Bay Area Heart Center reported a data breach in which personal identifiable information and protected health information may have been accessed and acquired. According to a press release posted on the Bay Area Heart Center website, the breach resulted from a cybersecurity attack against its third-party business associate, Bowden Barlow Law, P.A.
