Dobson Fiber Data Breach Investigation

Turke & Strauss LLP, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Dobson Technologies, Inc. d/b/a Dobson Fiber (“Dobson”) regarding its recent data breach. The Dobson data breach involved sensitive personal identifiable information belonging to over 6,000 individuals.

With over 5,000 miles of fiber throughout Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas, Dobson consolidates all its customers communications over a secure, and redundant network using state-of-the-art technology.2 Headquartered in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Dobson employs over 50 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

In February 2023, Dobson discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Dobson determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information through certain employee email accounts between November 19, 2022, and March 3, 2023. On February 15, 2024, Dobson notified individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license or state ID number
