Turke & Strauss LLP, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Healix Infusion Therapy, LLC (“Healix”) regarding its recent data breach. The Healix data breach involved sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information belonging to an undetermined number of individuals.

Healix is a healthcare services provider based in Texas. Founded in 1989, Healix is a leading provider of outpatient infusion management services. Focused on patient and physician peace of mind, Healix manages the complex operations of infusion programs, including drug purchasing, revenue cycle management, managed care programs, and clinical staffing. Headquartered in Sugar Land, Texas, Healix has helped establish and manage hundreds of infusion centers across the country and employs over 500 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Recently, Healix discovered it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information may have been accessed. In December 2023, Healix reported the data breach to the Attorney General of Texas. According to the breach report, Healix has notified individuals whose data may have been impacted. The type of information potentially exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Address
  • Date of birth
  • Driver’s license number
  • Government issued ID number (e.g., passport, state ID card)
  • Financial information (e.g., account number, credit or debit card number)
  • Medical information 
  • Health insurance information
