Entertainment Community Fund Data Breach Investigation

Headquartered in New York, New York, Entertainment Community Fund has two additional locations in Chicago and Los Angeles and employs more than 50 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On February 19, 2023, Entertainment Community Fund experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information of in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, Entertainment Community Fund determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed and acquired this sensitive information on or around February 19, 2023. On September 26, 2023, Entertainment Community Fund began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number
  • Financial account information
