In addition, Park Royal Hospital also treats substance abuse issues, offering both inpatient and outpatient treatment for all treatable conditions. Founded in 2011, Park Royal Hospital is located in Fort Myers, Florida, and employs over 50 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On May 15, 2023, Park Royal Hospital discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Park Royal Hospital determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information through an employee email account between May 8 and May 15, 2023. On September 26, 2023, Park Royal Hospital began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Medical information (e.g., provider names, dates of treatment, diagnosis, and treatment information)
