Turke & Strauss LLP, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Athlon Advisors, LLC regarding its recent data breach. The Athlon Advisors data breach involved sensitive personal identifiable information belonging to an undetermined number of individuals.

ABOUT ATHLON ADVISORS, LLC:

Athlon Advisors is a wealth management company specializing in financial planning, investment management, tax preparation, and insurance services. Additionally, Athlon Advisors also offers CPA services, bookkeeping, and payroll for small businesses and insurance solutions for individuals and business owners. Through a partnership with Cambridge Investment Research, Inc., Athlon Advisors is able to offer its clients access to securities trading and advice. Founded in 2010, Athlon Advisors has locations in Maryland, Texas, and Pennsylvania.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On or around April 6, 2023, Athlon Advisors discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Athlon Advisors determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information through an employee’s mailbox. On August 28, 2023, Athlon Advisors began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Financial account number
