WHAT HAPPENED?

On May 31, 2023, Tampa General Hospital discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, Tampa General Hospital determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed and obtained this sensitive information between May 12 and May 30, 2023. According to a cybersecurity notice posted on its website, Tampa General Hospital will begin contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted.
