BrightSpring Health Services Data Breach Investigation

Accordingly, BrightSpring Health Services specializes in behavioral health, home health care, neuro therapy, job placement, and vocational training. Headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, BrightSpring Health Services has over 900 locations across all 50 states. BrightSpring Health Services employs over 37,000 individuals and provides health care services to over 350,000 patients every day.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On March 14, 2023, BrightSpring Health Services discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems and the systems of one of its subsidiaries, Arbor E&T, LLC dba Equus Workforce Solutions, may have been accessed. Through its investigation, BrightSpring Health Services determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information between March 12 and March 13, 2023. On June 21, 2023, BrightSpring Health Services began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Date of birth
  • Address
