Inland Technologies Data Breach Investigation

Turke & Strauss LLP, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Inland Technologies Holdings, Inc., which does business as Inland Technologies, Quantem Aviation Services, and Integrated De-Icing Services, regarding its recent data breach. The Inland Technologies data breach involved sensitive personal identifiable information belonging to over 5,400 individuals.

As a collection of companies in the aviation industry, Inland Technologies offers a variety of services from deicing and anti-icing, aircraft management, equipment design and manufacturing, cargo warehousing, and security services. Through its subsidiary, Quantem Aviation Services, Inland Technologies handles over 2,500 aircraft movements and over 800 million pounds of cargo annually. Founded in 1986, Inland Technologies operates in over 35 airports across the United States, Canada, and Europe. Headquartered in Truro, Nova Scotia, Inland Technologies employs approximately 3,000 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On February 11, 2023, Inland Technologies discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its system may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Inland Technologies determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed the sensitive personal identifiable information belonging to current or former employees of Inland Technologies and its subsidiaries, Quantem Aviation Services and Integrated De-Icing Services, between February 7 and February 12, 2023. On March 10, 2023, Inland Technologies began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. On June 9, 2023, Inland Technologies sent out an additional round of notifications to individuals who may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
