WHAT HAPPENED?

On November 19, 2022, Andrews McMeel Universal discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed and obtained. Through its investigation, Andrews McMeel Universal determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed and obtained this sensitive information between November 17 and November 19, 2022. On January 25, 2023, Andrews McMeel Universal began contacting individuals whose information may have been impacted. Recently, on March 22, 2023, Andrews McMeel Universal sent out additional notification letters indicating that more individuals’ sensitive information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Date of birth
  • Driver’s license number
  • Passport number
  • Financial account information
  • Credit card numbers
  • Health insurance information
  • Medical information
