Through its investigation, Lehigh Valley Health Network determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information by launching a ransomware attack. Although much information remains unknown, on February 20, 2023, Lehigh Valley Health Network revealed in a statement that it had experienced a data breach involving personal identifiable information and protected health information, including patient images for radiation treatment.
