Morrison Products Data Breach Investigation

Morrison Products manufactures parts and components for air flow and HVAC systems. Founded in 1923, Morrison Products began by producing stamped metal products for containers and automobiles. After the Great Depression, Morrison Products expanded into blower wheels and by the 1960s was manufacturing air flow equipment, its current sector of specialization. Today, Morrison Products makes residential furnaces, fan coils, air handlers, roof top units, air terminal boxes, and more. Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, Morrison Products operates additional facilities in Atlanta, Georgia, Dallas, Texas, and Monterrey, Mexico.


On February 25, 2022, Morrison Products discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Morrison Products determined that an unauthorized actor accessed this sensitive information on or about February 10, 2022. On November 1, 2022, Morrison Products began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The exact type of personal information has not been disclosed by Morrison Products. However, according to state reporting guidelines, “personal information” can include the following types of information:

  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number
  • Financial information
  • Medical information
  • Taxpayer information
  • Personal identification number issued by the United States IRS
