Impression Homes is a construction company specializing in home building. Founded in 2009, Impression Homes has built individual homes, neighborhoods, and communities across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan Area. Impression Homes offers everything from move-in ready properties to custom-made homes, incorporating warranty services, energy efficient appliances and systems, and name brand building materials. Headquartered in Southlake, Texas, Impression Homes employs more than 50 individuals.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On August 8, 2022, Impression Homes discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Impression Homes concluded that an unauthorized actor may have accessed this sensitive information by launching a phishing attack between July and August 9, 2022. Impression Homes also determined that the unauthorized actor made this sensitive information available online. On September 27, 2022, Impression Homes began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Address
  • Financial information (e.g., account number, credit or debit card number)
