Headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, Nationwide Retirement Solutions offers a variety of interactive tools, planners, and calculators to help its customers plan for a secure and comfortable future.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On September 3, 2022, Nationwide Retirement Solutions discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its system may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, Nationwide Retirement Solutions determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed and obtained this sensitive information. While the investigation is ongoing, on September 12, 2022, Nationwide Retirement Solutions began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Date of birth
  • Address
  • Contact information (e.g., email or phone number)
  • Gender
