Radiant Logistics Data Breach Investigation

Turke & Strauss LLP, a leading data breach law firm, is investigating Radiant Logistics, Inc., regarding its recent data breach. The Radiant Logistics data breach involved sensitive personal identifiable information belonging to an undisclosed number of individuals.

Radiant Logistics is a third-party logistics company offering a variety of services in shipping and supply chain management. Founded in 2005, Radiant Logistics serves domestic and international clients through its large carrier network of asset-based transportation companies, including airlines, ocean container shipping companies, railroads, and trucking businesses. Today, Radiant Logistics combines its transportation network with specialties in order fulfillment, warehouse management, and purchase order management to deliver industry-leading services. Headquartered in Renton, Washington, Radiant Logistics operates more than 100 supply and distribution centers and over 20 offices around the world. Currently, Radiant Logistics employs over 500 individuals and manages more than $176 million in assets.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On December 6, 2021, Radiant Logistics discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed. Through its investigation, Radiant Logistics determined that an unauthorized actor may have gained access to this sensitive information through a ransomware attack. On September 1, 2022, Radiant Logistics began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The exact type of personal information has not been disclosed by Radiant Logistics. However, according to state reporting guidelines, “personal information” can include the following types of information:

  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number or state-issued ID card number
  • Driver’s license or identification number
  • Financial information
  • Medical information
  • Taxpayer information
  • Personal identification number issued by the United States IRS
