WHAT HAPPENED?

In August 2021, Radiology Associates of Albuquerque concluded that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information in its systems may have been accessed and acquired. Through its investigation, Radiology Associates of Albuquerque determined that an unknown actor may have gained access to sensitive personal information between July 22 and August 3, 2021. Furthermore, it was established that certain Radiology Associates of Albuquerque email accounts containing sensitive information may have been accessed at various times between December 22, 2020, and July 15, 2021. On July 28, 2022, Radiology Associates of Albuquerque began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:

  • Date of birth
  • Financial account number
  • Health records (e.g., medical record number)
  • Health insurance information
