ACTS Retirement-Life Communities continuing care retirement communities are located in Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina. Included in ACTS Retirement-Life Communities’ affiliated companies are the retirement communities of Heron Point of Chestertown, Presbyterian Retirement Corporation, The Evergreens, Intergrace, Copper Ridge, Intergrace Health, Fairhaven, Buckingham’s Choice, and Bayleigh Chase. ACTS Retirement-Life Communities employs over 8,000 people and provides housing and services to over 10,000 seniors.
WHAT HAPPENED?
In April 2022, ACTS Retirement Services and its affiliated companies experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal information of ACTS Retirement Services employees may have been accessed and acquired. While much information is still unknown about the breach, ACTS Retirement Services determined that its network was accessed on April 29, 2022, by an unauthorized actor. Recently, ACTS Retirement Services began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted. The type of information exposed includes:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Financial account information
- Routing number
